Sanoe Lake is a surfer/model whose one notable acting role was in the 2002 surfing hit “Blue Crush”. The Hawaiian born (of Japanese, Chinese, and European descent) Sanoe is the daughter of champion surfer Laola Lake.
A model since 15, Sanoe has graced the pages of Vogue, Cosmo, and Elle magazines (among others), and she has been the face of Roxy Quicksilver and Billabong.
Not long after the release of “Blue Crush”, she appeared at a celebrity event with a white patch on the middle of her back. Her friend, and fellow actress, Michelle Rodriguez, pulled it away to reveal Sanoe’s new tattoo, which appears to be a serpent encircling another design (I could not grab this original picture because the site that has it copy-protected the images, but here are some other photos that feature her art):
