Celebrity Tattoo of the Day: Claire Holt

ClaireHolt_Pic03   Whereas Nickelodeon, Disney and Discovery Kids seem to be like acting ‘middle school’ for young actors and actresses, the CW is more like having graduated and moved on to acting ‘high school’.  The CW has produced shows like “Gossip Girl”, “Pretty Little Liars” and “Vampire Diaries”; the latter two having provided regular acting roles to our latest inked beauty, Claire Holt.

ClaireHolt_Pic04   Claire hails from the ‘Down Under’, born in Brisbane.  She got her start in the Disney Australia teen drama “H20:  Just Add Water”.  She participated in that series for two seasons and then did a couple direct-to-video sequel films: “Messengers 2:  The Scarecrow” and “Mean Girls 2”.

ClaireHolt_Pic02   In 2011, she landed her first big role as Samara Cook in 5 episodes of “Pretty Little Liars” (which has given us features on Janel Parrish and Lucy Hale).  Her stint on “PLL” impressed CW executives enough for them to give her the role of Rebekah Mikaelson in “Vampire Diaries”.  It will be interesting to see where her career goes from here.

claireholt_pic01    Claire does appreciate a body art and has a small script tattoo on the top of her left foot that reads “gratitude”.  This type of tattoo is an increasingly popular feminine one.  It’s also a good one because the person who gets the tattoo is able to easily customize it to their inspiration, avoiding the pitfalls of the some of the more cliched designs.
